Things a Graphics Designer must include in his Portfolios

1. Your portfolio should contain limited (10-15), but your best work

2. Some work should talk about idea to design (preproduction to production). For example if you have created a logo for a client - You need to explain the meaning of that logo.

3. Currently social media graphics are on high demand. You need to create and add few graphics as per guideline, dimension and sizes supported by social media.

4. You need to add at-least one Advertisement Design in your portfolio.

5. You need to add some Tools/Software knowledge related works. That work should talk about your skill in that particular software

6. You need to have at-least one Campaign design work for any existing or virtual company.

You can add works like logo, Advertisement Design, Brochure Design, Visiting card, News letter, Package Design (Packet/label design of any product), Product Catalog/Booklet, Web Banner, Web Template etc

Things a Web Designer must include in their Portfolios

1. Your portfolio should contain limited (5-6) but your best work

2. Add a HTML Email design/Newsletter and presents it with its Wireframe

3. Add a four page website in your portfolio showing your HTML5, CSS3, JS and JQuery skill.

4. Include PSD template of your HTMl File in your Portfolio

5. Add some work showing your knowledge of responsive web design.

6. Add one or two landing page design in your portfolio

7. Add links of your past projects

Things you must include in your Adobe illustrator Portfolio

1. Your Portfolio should contain limited (10-12) but your best work

2. Add some vector advertisement design in your portfolio

3. Add at least one Product design/Natural Scene work with the help of mesh/gradient tool.

4. Include one character design work

5. Add some work showing your knowledge of standard sizes like visiting cards, social media banners etc.
